Application Ways

Admission Requirements:

      The candidate can be from China or any other country and must have received high school or other higher education. College students can also apply, and some of their credits can be transferred to China Incarnate Word, but they must provide transcripts from their current colleges for auditing by University of the Incarnate Word. If a candidate has yet to graduate from high school, he/she may attend CIW’s intensive English program but will not be accepted into the content course program until a proof of high school graduation is presented.

Enrollment Process:

      To begin the enrollment process, the candidate may (1) download an application form from the CIW website; (2) call or write CIW to request an electronic or paper application; (3) visit CIW and collect an application. 

      Candidates must complete the forms by printing or typing both in English and Chinese and send the filled in forms back to the following address together with the copies of their ID Cards, high school/college diplomas, high school transcripts, scores from the National Examination. (Students in senior three, who have not received their diplomas and taken the National Examination, can provide that information after July. College students must provide their college transcripts and the contents of the courses that they have taken.)

      Once China Incarnate Word has received the prospective student’s admission application and supplementary admission materials, a language proficiency exam will be scheduled. CIW will review applications and test results to select the top candidates; once the selection process is complete, official acceptance cards will be mailed.

      Priority acceptance will be given to candidates with these qualifications:  1) students who have passed the associate degree levels on the National Exam and who have scored at least 120 points on the English portion 2) Students who have not passed the associate degree levels on the National Exam but have scored extremely well on the English portion or can provide certification/proof of special skill(s).

1. Completed application form
2. Copy of official ID card CIW English corner Fall 2007
3. Copies of academic graduation certificates
4. Official high school (or higher) transcript (3 years required)
5. Copy of National Examination scores
6. 5 (full-color/1 inch/no hat) recent photos

Standard Fees

Tuition fees are 33,600 RMB/year (not including books).  Dormitory fees are 2500 RMB/year (student apartment).  Book fees vary depending on student’s class schedule.  For other fees (insurance, water, etc.) see Fee Standards.
